"Metropolist is housed in the historic Ederer Building on 1st Avenue South. Built in 1919, the Ederer Crane building was used to manufacture large-scale cranes for construction projects around the area." It is location in the SoDo district of Seattle, which was named for being "south of the Kingdome". While the Kingdome was demolished in 2000, the name for the area lives on.
Parking
Free street parking is available around Metropolist with zones that work for those arriving 4PM or later marked in green on the map below. Note that the side of the street matters! There is also a pay lot (in orange) just south of the venue that is $6 (all day Saturday) for those not wishing to look around for a free spot.
Transit
The closest light rail stop to the venue is Sodo Station, which is a 10-15 min walk. Also, buses 21 and 116 come right down 1st Ave S from downtown.
And a reminder to our Vancouver friends, ride shares exist here! Use code "KIMBERLY34646" for Lyft or "jordanb234lue" for Uber to get a discount on your first ride.
Are you early?
The venue will open to guests at 4 PM with the ceremony to start at 4:30 PM. If you arrive early, we recommend you check out Westland Distillery for a fine whiskey next door, Seapine Brewing around the back for a local brew, or one of the many coffee shops in the area.
